Atlas Copco has acquired Cooper Freer, a UK-based compressed air distributor and service provider.

Located in the city of Leicester, Cooper Freer has a strong market presence in the Midlands region and boasts a strong customer base of industrial, water treatment and service companies.

Commenting on the acquisition, Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique, said, “We have a long history of working closely with Cooper Freer.”

“Through this acquisition we will get the opportunity to better serve current customers and grow our market presence in a key region in the UK.”

Atlas Copco has said the new company will become part of the service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
